about

Wool are a three piece from Surrey. They are Stephen Anderson on vocals, Neil Cook on Guitar and Peter Taylor on synths. They make dystopian songs with a British sensibility, but still cling to the Pacific North West. Rooted in the sounds afforded by an ex council flat with concrete floors and a vista of a decaying former middle class suburbia – they have forged a sound unique to their own setting.

With influences ranging from 90’s drug-fuelled dance acts, experimental indie and sun-drenched California synthpop – Wool have found their own orbit from impractical daydreams and 9-5 dysphoria (a refuge on a Tuesday).

A decade of failing hedonistic pursuits, impromptu families and minor label successes the trio of discontents have forged a sound which is accessible without losing their collective voice. Suncoast Digest is recorded digitally with analogue equipment to create a used future.

An idea that our graves are untended.
